its almost halloween!

ok- I am so excited to put the boys in their little dracula costumes. My first opportunity isn't until tuesday though! so.. cute pictures to come- and in the meantime for your reading pleasure I thought I would tell you the latest funny things to come out of my son's mouth.

  • I was trying to get him to calm down tonight so I curled up in a tight ball on the couch (this way he couldn't run and jump on me from the ottoman) and started to sing rock a bye baby- and held my arms out to signal him to come cuddle (sometimes it works..)- he started to jump over to me and just before I grabbed him he put his face down to my face and yelled "SHUT!!" at the top of his lungs. I have no idea where he got this- and I am assuming he meant shut up or shut my mouth...either way I got the hint.

  • My loving husband has decided that it is funny to teach him things to say... the latest was(and the first time he said it I asked him to repeat it because I was in disbelief) "mommy chubby"... nice honey.

  • He likes to run around the house wielding some type of bat or sword yelling "where's Cookie?!" (our dog). And since I am such a loving pet owner I always do a brief look and point him in the right direction...poor cookie- but he never actually catches her and it keeps him occupied for at least twenty minutes. I love having a dog.

  • and his favorite phrase is "No, Cash!" It's cute when cash is about to walk into the street or play with the dog food...but if cash doesn't respond then it is usually accompanied by a push in the forehead.

  • Now, Pierce is a pretty rough kid- so Cash is no sissy, but since Pierce is a bit bigger and stronger he can really do some damage when he runs full speed at his unsuspecting brother with a little tikes shopping cart. It is at these times when (hopefully I catch him) before I can put him in time out he points at ME and says "Time Out!" I need to get it on video because he is so authoritative that sometimes I catch myself looking for the nearest corner.

...if you look closely you can see two giant baskets of laundry. Cash NEVER does his chores.

Anna - you crack me up! I have got to come see your kiddos! They are growing up with out knowing your best friend - how could you have let this happen??? We need to remedy the situation ASAP.

Love your blog - I'm such a stalker, I should start my own blog and join the fun, but I'm too lazy...
